Saizen HGH

Saizen is a commercial preparation of synthetic somatropin (synthetic human growth hormone). Manufactured by EMD Serono, Saizen is produced by recombinant DNA technology from a mammalian cell line (mouse C127) that was modified by the addition of the human GH gene, resulting in an identical 191-amino acid sequence and structure.

Description

Introduction

Saizen is a form of human growth hormone important for the growth of bones and muscles. Saizen is used to treat growth failure in children and adults who lack natural growth hormone. This includes people with short stature at birth with no catch-up growth, and other causes.

Saizen [somatropin (rDNA origin) for injection] is indicated for replacement of endogenous growth hormone in adults with adult or childhood onset growth hormone deficiency. Confirmation can sometimes involve testing as recommended by your doctor.

How it works?

Saizen is injected. It is intended for long-term treatment of individuals who are growth hormone deficient. Saizen, like all synthetic somatropin, has special importance for children and adolescents whose growth failure is due to inadequate production of growth hormone. Studies have shown that somatropin usage fails to produce athletic performance enhancement despite claims to the contrary. More recently, Saizen has been used in IVF protocols by a few physicians for female patients undergoing infertility treatment in an attempt to increase the number and quality of oocytes retrieved.

Side Effects

The following important adverse reactions are also described elsewhere in the labeling:

● Increased mortality in patients with acute critical illness
● Fatalities in children with Prader-Willi syndrome
● Neoplasms
● Glucose intolerance and diabetes mellitus
● Intracranial hypertension
● Severe hypersensitivity
● Fluid retention
● Hypoadrenalism
● Hypothyroidism
● Slipped capital femoral epiphysis in pediatric patients
● Progression of preexisting scoliosis in pediatric patients
● Lipoatrophy
● Pancreatitis

More information

Treatment with somatropin may decrease insulin sensitivity, particularly at higher doses in susceptible patients. As a result, previously undiagnosed impaired glucose tolerance and overt diabetes mellitus may be unmasked during somatropin treatment and new onset type 2 diabetes mellitus has been reported in patients. Therefore, glucose levels should be monitored periodically in all patients treated with somatropin, especially in those with risk factors for diabetes mellitus, such as obesity, Turner syndrome, or a family history of diabetes mellitus. Patients with preexisting type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus or impaired glucose tolerance should be monitored closely during somatropin therapy. The doses of antihyperglycemic drugs (i.e., insulin or oral agents) may require adjustment when somatropin therapy is instituted in these patients

Conclusion

SAIZEN is a human growth hormone produced by recombinant DNA technology. SAIZEN has 191 amino acid residues and a molecular weight of 22,125 daltons. Its amino acid sequence and structure are identical to the dominant form of human pituitary growth hormone. SAIZEN is produced by a mammalian cell line (mouse C127) that has been modified by the addition of the human growth hormone gene.

I’m 70 and seemingly in EXCELLENT health. NO pains or problems with ANYTHING. I work on my estate daily and have better energy than my younger by far workers. Before I started taking human growth hormone (HGH), I found that my skin was growing very thin and becoming a slight pinkish blue. Now this is completly resolved. I go to a life extension doctor that after testing found that my hormones like all older persons were low so I’m now supplementing with HGH, Pregnalone, DHEA, and Testosterone (transdermal. I highly recommend it to my friends and acquaintances and to you to have your blood tested.
